Default Help! with windows xp Display problem!! pleaseee!?!?!? experts needed?

Mkay so I was messing around with my resolution settings and i came upon one and on my monitor it says Input signal Out of range so im guessing my monitor isnt able to support it. So anyways i was messing around with the true color settings and i accidently selected the one that doesnt display an image so now nothings on my screen. I restarted the computer and The title screen comes up and everything but then just goes black when it should be the desktop. This would be an easy change but me not having anything to view makes this increasingly difficult. Is there something i can do maybe like holding the f8 button or something and manually changing it back.?
Or would you suggest anything else to be done?
Have you had this problem before?

And its a 22" lcd hd monitor if that matters
Windows Xp Home Premium.
