Windows XP Requesting Command After Selecting Repair? Hey, everyone, I'm having a huge problem with my computer. It seems that the Spyware programs Spyhunter, Virutmonde, Antispywaremaster, and Double Click finally got me.
Today, I started my computer like usual, planning to get rid of these infections. But when it was running over the usual pre-check, it requested me to "Boot from CD:". I thought that last night's infections had just deleted some win32 files, so I popped in the CD and waited. A screen came up replacing all of the files. But after the screen, it asked me if I wanted to do one of three options:
1. Configure Windows XP installation
2. Repair previous version of windows XP
and I forgot the 3rd one. But anyway, I type r for repair and another screen pops up asking what I should start windows on. I typed 1 for C: \Windows. From there, it requested me to put a command... What should I type? It just came up: "C:\Windows>"
I don't know what I should type, but I have a lot of irreplaceable data on my computer. Please help. |
