he doesn’t have an xp cd to boot Although I have an Xp cd and I was thinking could I boot from my xp cd and repair his comp? Or would it get screwy ...I was able to open his comp in Linux by booting from the cd and backed up all his files on my ext. hard drive.... is there any recovery cds I can order online possibly from Microsoft???
