Default windows xp sp3 problems...?
i have windows xp pro sp3. i install the windows and then i would like to install my sound driver (conexant) it said that it can not detect my sound. when i check back what is wrong, maybe the motherboarbd driver was built in sp2. so what is your opinion

Are you using the beta version, because the full version isn't out yet.
So this is probably why.

You may have to download the sound driver from the vendor's website.

SP3 is in beta. My advice would be to wait until it's official release.

Hi,

I don't see why the patch level on xp should make any difference to the sound driver as the patch is for Microsoft updates and the sound driver is from the sound card manufacturer.

Make sure you have downloaded the correct driver.
