Default I had to do a hard drive recovery and reinstall windows xp on my laptop. Now my hard
drive is full. Why? The hard drive was only half full before doing the recovery and reinstalling windows. I'm afraid to just start deleting things...

Did you check to make sure you installed the system on your recovery "d" drive and not your "c" drive? This is the only reason I can think of. Check the files before you delete them. Or trying backing up your files now and reinstalling the system again.

When you reinstalled windows did you format the drive "which wipes it clean then starts fresh" or did you just reinstall another copy over the existing one?
