Default Just bought a new laptop. It is installed with Windows Vista Home Basic.

Why do startups take SOOO long? Windows Vista Home Basic. My startup literally takes about 5-6 minutes for some reason. Any advice?

that's a little bit crazy...

probably sth gotta do with the no. of startup program u have..
i forgot where, but u can take out softwares which u don't need it to startup automatically...

or dl ccleaner to do the job for you..

and next thing to take note probably will be the running speed of ur processor and RAM... for optimum performace, vista shld run on 2gb ram.. becoz vista's graphic runs heavily on the graphic card...
