Default I have Windows Vista Home edition, I forgot my password and cannot get past...
...the first screen what do I do?
I did not steal it! I am old and forgetfull! My grandkids always do that stuff for me but they are away for the summer. But I lost power due to a drunk driver hitting a power poll and now that it is back on I need a password to get it back on again!

If you have the Vista CD. Then boot the computer from cd rom. And repair the computer.
