Default How do I stop making everything move around when positioning objects on

Microsoft word (Vista)?? Basically, everything keeps moving around when I position other objects close to or on top of other items.

I am making a magazine cover and I have been layering many different objects but now some just start to move out of position and wont be re-positioned due to where the new object is. Is there a setting I can apply to these moving shapes to stop them moving, I clicked 'tight' on the shape format button but other layers move out of position then, Please help asap !!

Kind regards, Benham
