Need help with downloading a game on Windows Vista?

I bought Diner Dash by Playfirst and downloaded it and have been playing it since May. Then the electricity was off during a storm. the company got the computer back on with the internet. We use Firefox. we tried to download the game, cause we had to remove alot of things and them put them back on. the game won't play. the pop up keeps saying that resolution needs to be fixed (we did this) and that the video card may not accept the game. But we already had it on!
Then we tried internet explorer and it didn't take it either. The game downloads with Wizard installation and even starts the music then the pop up comes up. I've tried different things and can't get anywhere!
Please give suggestions!!
