Default mapped drive how to - winserver 2003 active directory?

how can i do this? i set up win server 2003, i use XP as my workstations how can i mapped the folder of 1 of my student to the server active directory so that if he/she logon to the given account it created a drive so that he can directly save the file to the created drive... if i do so... when i save i got an error telling that i cannot save file in the drive . or its better use win 2000 as workstation... please help...
