Default Network USB HUB to share drives on a network?

I've been thinking of getting a network USB hub to share drives via my router. But do they really work with several client computers at the same time?
And do they work seamlessly when computers re-connects to the network?

you dont need a usb hub to share drives - you are better off using a switch to connect all the machines / devices together and then using the operating system to share the folder(s) or drive(s) and accessing them over the network.

USB is better for external devices such as memory sticks, external hard drives, printers, scanners, etc.

It's not clear what it is you are planing to do. What is a "network USB hub?" I don't think there's any such thing.

If your router is also a file server, then it can serve files (on a USB drive or drive connected to a hub connected to the router) to computers on your network. But you can't use USB to connect more than one computer to a drive, there would be no place for the filesystem to be. (It would have to be on either one computer or the other, leaving one of them with no reason to use the USB port at all.)

yes they do work. they are used at my work place on a daily basis. they're kind of glitchy when computers reconnect though.
other than that, i strongly suggest you use one.
