Not 8 years old! That's too young! 13 and above is okay, but anything under is all too young, those kids need to be playing outside, not playing around on a website designed for adults.

i think so because it gives them a chance to learn from their mistakes, but if you do let them ask them were they are going when they leave the house.

I started using Myspace.com around the time I was 10. There shouldnt be any worries because usually, 10 year olds are too shy to talk to anyone but their frends. 8 is a bit early - and maybe 10 is aswell. I think around the age of 11-12, kids are able to understand the risks of internet use. If you have a child, warn them before they use the internet, and follow your intuition as to whether you think they should use it. You know your child better then a computer does, and your decision is probably best. Probably the best idea is to let them use it when they to, because they probably jsut want an easy way to talk to their friends ![]() accompany them if your unsure. x

Definitely no, there need to be stricter rules to join, e.g. raise minimum age to 16, as there are so many creeps on there. Younger children don't seem to realise how vulnerable they make themselves with each piece of info they reveal - pictures, what school they attend etc. At the very least profiles for the under 18 should be made automatically private.
