choosing a laptop/notebook...?

i am looking for a laptop that has:

Intel Core 2 Duo
3GB RAM
at least 160GB hard drive
maximum screen size is 15" (anything bigger will kill me)

my budget is $1,100.
i'm choosing between HP and Toshiba.
Heard that HP batteries only lasts 2 hours max.
Toshiba's are too big.

can anyone help me?
i'd really prefer a Toshiba. i just need a smaller screen since i'll be bringing it to campus daily.

You won't get 3gB of ram for 1100.

Whatever you do don't buy a Dell. I have one it drives me nuts. I would look on e-bay. There are stores that you give them a budget and what you want and they build it for you. You might want to try that. I hope this helps a little.

really if you ask me i would preferto tell you to glance or have a look atother laptops as you have reason for both or you may even tryother shops where you can get any one of these in a shape or price which is suitable for you
