Just bought a new laptop?

SO i just got this new laptop its sony ... already its getting slower then when i first got it... any help? ALSO it says that i have to back up my files what does that mean? do you have any tips on how i can keep my laptop running smoothly?

You need to install a program called Webroot AntiVirus with AntiSpyware, which will find all "infected" files or programs. You schedule when you want it to do a "sweep" of your computer and then you press "quarintine" and it deletes those infected files. Also, when the computer says that it has to "back up" your files, that means that if your computers hard drive were to crash then your files or anything that you have saved, such as pictures, videos, programs, won't be lost when your computer "dies".
