what's the best $1500-range gaming laptop?

i've looked at the toshiba satellite x205-sli6, which runs for $1700 at newegg, and it seems like a really good deal
but are there any other better/equal ones for less than $2000? (that doesn't include $1999)
i want to make sure i have the best laptop i can get for the money.

btw, i'll be using it at home mostly, but will be taking it with me on day-long or overnight trips.
i'll be using it for regular computer use (internet, email, ms word, photoshop, 3d art, etc) and gaming (half-life 2, f.e.a.r, halo, need for speed prostreet, etc -- for idea of graphics needs)
