i'm have problems installing my ram?

at the minute i'm running 1G 2x512 of ddr pc3200 ram, i'm trying to install 2G 2x1G of ddr pc3200 ram but when i fit the new modules i get the motherboard bleep over and over in quick succession. do i need to change anything in bios?
